New Columbia Solar installed a 241.2-kW solar system using Quest Renewables solar carport system on a commercial lot in Northeast D.C.’s Ward 5. The solar carport system was constructed and installed in March 2020 and will allow the property to generate an extra $12,000 in lease payments.
In addition to generating solar energy, the carport will provide shading and cover from inclement weather. The carport features enhanced lighting to provide safety for visitors and employees of the property.
