New Columbia Solar mourns the loss of the 19 children and two teachers who were murdered at Robb Elementary, and we grieve with the families of the victims. The New Columbia Solar team is inspired everyday to create a better world for our children. On Tuesday, innocent children were robbed of that future. 3,348 days before this tragedy, 26 people were killed at Sandy Hook elementary school of which 20 victims were children between the ages of six and seven years old.
While our business operations are focused on solar energy, our values and aspirations all point towards a more sustainable, equitable future for the next generation. Studies show a majority of Americans support common sense gun laws, such as universal background checks and making firearm sales more strict. We call on our leaders in congress to prioritize the safety of our children and pass common sense gun laws that can serve as a foundation to ensure our country never has to bear witness to such a heinous crime again.
May the victims at Robb Elementary school Rest In Peace and may they serve as an inspiration for the change that so desperately needs to come.
