New Columbia Solar denounces Russia’s unprovoked war on Ukraine and condemns Vladimir Putin’s acts of violence and destruction in the strongest possible terms. The disregard for human life and abuse of power demonstrated by the Russian military goes directly against the values of our organization.
We commend the strength and resilience exhibited by President Zelenskyy and stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
We encourage those who are able to take action with us: learn more about the war and find ways to provide support.
We also voice support for those companies divesting from Russian oil and gas, though the looming question is when and how we can begin to overhaul fossil fuel dependence with independent, domestic production of clean energy. As a business operating in a global economy, we encourage all corporations to hold themselves accountable for the totality of operational impacts and consider how their supply chain influences global powers.
